Description
This was a commission for a friend. Well, he sort of threw money at my face and said I could draw him something. Since his waifu is Mami, I came up with this. I wanted to do something really nice to thank him for all the nice things he's done for me, and also to push the limitations of my own abilities. I've been wanting to make more atmospheric artwork, particularly with lighting, so this was a good chance to test myself. While improvements can certainly be made, I think this one came out really well, from the lighting, even to the anatomy and pose. Also I love the gradual shift of colors from bright yellow/orange to desaturated red/purple. I'd really love to hear what you think of it!

As a fan of Madoka Magika, I can say that Mami looks absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail in Mami herself looks beautiful, and she looks very pretty! Her clothes look amazing, and her eyes are very well-done and they look beautiful, too!

The background is also nicely done, too! I love the lightning in the background to give the background around Mami a calm and beautiful feeling to it, as well as make Mami really shine and stand out in the center of it all.
